Despite its 4-piston design, the BR-MT520 brake caliper has almost the same slim design as those with dual pistons. The pistons are insulated for improved heat management and control of brake pad wear. The four-piston design also increases modulation, allowing for a more predictable application of braking force. These are a very capable brake, suited to a wide range of conditions and riding styles.
